Simple Paragraph
Life in the New Normal
by Jescel Mae P. Dulay
As the Covid-19 pandemic
flew all over the world and penetrated our homeland, Philippines, life became totally
different. What is normal for the past centuries are considered what should not
be done now. I was locked up and you are too. But until now that even the
lockdown in our area has gradually diminish, I still feel confined in my own
fears and doubts about surpassing this issue.
To be real, as a
teenager, I was not that affected at first especially that there are no
confirmed cases in our barangay but as I think of my fellow countrymen who are still
fighting and suffering from this pandemic, my heart breaks into pieces and then
melts. There is an expiration for each life, but I never taught that it would
be as fast as this. I wish I could help them personally, but everything is
limited only to a virtual help.
In new normal, there are
innovations which brought good news to us. Through using our gadgets or with a
right distance, we will still get to talk and see other people however, there will
always be the temptation of wanting to help or work close with the others or you’ll
feel like you badly needed to mingle with your friends and relatives which
could cross boundaries. Hence, you will be
reminded that as long as this contagious disease is on air, we are obliged to
adjust living in the “new normal”.
