Creative Writing Final Activity

 I. ACROSTIC POEM OF MY FIRST NAME

II. ACROSTIC POEM OF THE WORD - DRAMA

Dialogue, it aspires to transpire

Rarely seen in obsolete phase

As actors act accordingly

Making play into slay, it's on fleek

Abnegated not the rule of the writer

Brief Explanation of the Following

III. INTERTEXUALITY

Intertextuality is the shaping of a text's meaning by another text. It is the interconnection between similar or related works of literature that reflect and influence an audience's interpretation of the text. Intertextuality is the relation between texts that are inflicted by means of quotations and allusion.

IV. DRAMA

Drama is the specific mode of fiction represented in performance: a playoperamimeballet, etc., performed in a theatre, or on radio or television. Considered as a genre of poetry in general, the dramatic mode has been contrasted with the epic and the lyrical modes ever since Aristotle's Poetics (c. 335 BC)—the earliest work of dramatic theory.

V. DRAMA STAGING MODALITIES

End-on Staging: When the audience sits on one side of the stage only, facing it in the same direction.
Proscenium Arch Staging: End-on staging on only one side of the stage, but in an older style theatre with a decorative arch framing the whole stage is called proscenium arch.
Thrust Staging: When the audience surrounds the stage on three sides, and the other side connects to the backstage area.
Traverse Staging: When the audience was placed on either side of the actors' playing space or stage, facing each other. The staging form is also called the corridor.
In the RoundStaging: When the audience was placed all around the outside of the performers' plating space. The stage may be circular or square, with entrances and exits through the audience.

VI. SHORT SCRIPT based on the image demonstrating awareness to the literary and socio-political contexts of Creative Writing

Characters:

Rain - main character, 17 yrs old girl

Zein - Rain’s mother

Craige - Rain’s father

Mabeth - Rain’s sister, 13 yrs old

Denver - Rain’s best friend, 20 yrs old

Actual Script:

Rain: (I walk past by the room of my parents and hold both of my ears as I heard loud noises and piercing arguments from them. This isn’t the first time but I am still shocked every time I hear it.)

Zein: Craige! We need to close the other branches of our business, or else the whole company will bankrupt!

Craige: No! We will survive this pandemic without closing any branch.

Zein: Can’t you see! Craige? It is impossible to sustain all of our employees without having any profit in return.

Craige: No. They hold unto us and believe us, honey. I can’t let them down. There has to be a way!

Zein: So, that is all about them. How about me? How about us? You’re the father of this household!

Rain: (I couldn’t bear it any longer, so I walk away. Again, with no specific way to go. Then suddenly, I bump into my sister)

Mabeth: (looks at the surrounding while crying)

Rain: Why are you crying baby girl?

Mabeth: (continues to cry, shaking then breathes heavily)

Rain: I guess, you don’t wanna talk to me until now. What do you want me to do then?

(Without receiving any reply, I put a face mask on my face and walk again but now, around the city.)

Rain: You need to hide and act like an adult. Got it, Rain?

Yeah, I can do this. Easy peasy!

(Cheering herself up when the rain pours out of nowhere and there she saw how many people are homeless now and some have no choice but to stay in a small tent while waiting for their transportation. This is just in her location so what more, if she wanders longer?)

Rain: We are getting bankrupt, but I am thankful for not being in that kind of situation.

(She utters unconsciously)

I need someone to talk to, I am so lonely. Ugh!

What if I go to my best friend’s house near here. I’m gonna surprise him since I forgot my phone and can’t make any calls. Good idea! (Smiling weirdly, she run smoothly to her destination. )

Denver: Tita! Are you really okay? I will come to your home right away.

Rain: (I found my best friend here at their gate, talking to someone and hurriedly preparing his car, but couldn’t take off still.)

Denver: Tita Zein, Rain wouldn’t want to see you suffering and leaving titoCraige for good.

Rain: What? Hey! Denver! That is unreal!

Denver I know she passed away in the least expected way and time, but we need to move on and look forward now, tita. I know you and tito can solve the company’s problem, you are just blinded by too many emotions at the moment, and please accept it tita. Rain is dead. She was infected by the coronavirus. This also hurts me. (crying with Zein on the phone)

Rain: I’m so stupid! Even I, couldn’t accept this. (smile bitterly)

My best friend never fails to wake up my dead senses. I hope he can help my family on my behalf. And I wish I was like him, he’s super kind and obedient, unlike me who took my freedom for granted and caught a virus.

(After realizing the truth, she completely left Earth with a grateful heart.)
