Poem about COVID-19 Pandemic
C o n t a m i n a t e d
Today’s world is a prison.
None dares to talk nor walk free.
Be
close with the infection
Will think like a detainee.
Knowing the virus is on
Makes no single guarantee
For lives of the eight billion,
We struggle to oversee.
No virus vaccination
Renders special decree
Of distance, isolation
We never get to agree.
One does the sanitation
For
you with a few to glee.
Yet, hold the celebration
Is best for security.
Adjust to new convention,
Combat unseen specie.
It’s a rare recognition.
We barely bear, utterly.
Confine contamination
Means ceasing your liberty.
The world is a dungeon.
It is up for you to see.
Just bear, you are a person
A prisoner who is free
